YUKO HAIR-STRAIGHTENING METHOD

THE YUKO SYSTEM “REPAIR” technique was created by YUKO YAMASHITA in Japan back in 1970. The Yuko system straightens naturally curly or artificially curled hair without damaging it. Previous methods straightened hair with good results, but it was inevitable and accepted that the hair would be damaged. The innovative Yuko System “repair” however, not only straightens curly or wavy hair, but also has the ability to turn damaged hair back into healthy hair. CONSULTATION

Prior to the hair straightening, a consultation with the technician is essential. This establishes whether the clients hair is in fact suitable for the treatment. If so, the correct procedure as well as the expected results are discussed. Renata will never agree to treat hair which she deems unsuitable for the Yuko process.

HAIR STRAIGHTENING PROCESS

In summary, the process of hair straightening involves the careful severing and re-construction of the bonds within the “bone” of the hair. Renata explains each step of the process. In brief, here are the steps:

First shampoo and the hair is sprayed with protein.
Application of the first solution.
The second shampoo followed by another protein spray.
The hair is delicately ironed in very small sections.
Application of the second solution, followed by a neutraliser, rinsing, conditioning and drying the hair thoroughly. The hair is now ready to be styled. After the treatment, Renata gives simple instruction on how to care for the new Yuko straightened hair for the following 48 hours.
